Oily hair should be washed daily with a clarifying shampoo. Avoid using leave in conditioners, hair gels and other heavy products that will weigh down the hair. Hair replacement systems are fixed to the scalp with adhesive that will last between one and three months, through swimming and showering. If you perspire a lot, it might need a little re-application around the edges more frequently. But the clinician will explain to you how to do this yourself, or you can revisit the hair replacement clinic and they can do it. Every three to four months, your hair replacement system will shed enough hair that more will need to be retied. This can happen right at the appointment and the hair will, again, be restyled, cut and colored to match your hair.
