The state of Virginia requires a cosmetology license for anyone performing hair services, including hair extensions. In the state of Virginia, hair extensions fall under the category of wigs and hair pieces. In order to obtain a license, an applicant must complete 1,500 hours of training before taking the state exam. The Board for Barbers and Cosmetology in Virginia will accept outofstate applicants who submit proof of training at an accredited cosmetology school. The exam consists of two parts, written and handson. If applicants pass one part of the exam but not the other, they only need to retake the part they failed. There is a fee for the exam, which varies by testing site.If you read one of my other hubs, then you'd know that I've been considering dying my hair blue with temporary hair color. However, that might not be feasible for everyone/anyone else. I mean, seeing as how the corporate environment tends to frown on "unnatural" hair colors, tattoos, or anything else remotely interesting. (Booooo!) You might want to try out a blue wig instead. You can wear it for one day and take it off quicksmart so you'll be ready for your 9-5 the next day. The style you want to select will depend on the occasion too. If it's Halloween, then you might not mind going for the beehive wig (if it's fits your Halloween costume). Or if it's for a cosplay convention, then you'll want your wig to have a haircut that fits with the character you're dressing up as. Lettuce be reality..... beehives aren't exactly the posh fashion these days. So for everyday wear or to go nightclubbing you'll want a wig that's more sleek and polished. Here's some photos that show you the different styles and lengths available.
