Now make a second part 1 inch behind the first part in a straight line to the side of your head again. Comb the section in the front that's already cut, pull it and hold it straight on top of your head. Now pull the uncut section of the hair against the very front section. You should be able to easily distinguish them. If not, spray both parts with water and start over. Cut the second part of the hair using the front section as a guide. For longer layers, cut slightly longer than the guide.
