You should only shampoo when you observe that your hair is starting to become oily or if you are exposed to an environment or chemical (e.g. dust, salt water, pools, styling chemicals) that will strain your hair. Most of the time we choose shampoos based on the its popularity or scent, but you must know that the next time you buy one see to it that it is appropriate for your hair type. This will be easy with the brands we have today because manufacturers specific this on the bottle by indicating whether it is for curly, straight, oily or treated hair. It would also do your hair much good if you choose shampoos that are not acidic.
