In my opinion though, the best way to dip-dye or get gradient hair is to just use regular dye. If you want the dip-dye effect, you just paint it onto your ends. If you have dark hair, you'll need to bleach your ends before doing this. For the gradient hair, you will take 2 or more colors or shades and paint them in layers over top of one another.
