Lace wigs are probably the best thing since sliced bread, at least as far as people who suffer from alopecia or other forms of hair loss are concerned. These wigs have French or Swiss lace, either all around the cap or only in the front. To this lace, hair is hand tied. The hair could be either natural or synthetic. If the lace is only in the front, the wigs are called lace front wigs while the ones with lace present all around are called full lace wigs. The lace front has a better natural hairline than full lace though the latter could be tied in a pony tail which the former cannot. Since the hair is worn loose, the shape of your face will affect the style of your wigs.When the scalp has a bright plume, it indicates that the hair follicle is still alive but dormant. Given the appropriate specialist's knowledge and therapy, the hair follicle can be stimulated to grow hair. However if the surface is completely smooth, it indicates that the hair follicle is no longer alive and there is zero chance to grow hair- except in some cases as explained below (Alopecia Areata, Totalis and Universalis).
