Amongst other things, you need to make sure that you can find a costume that you are comfortable in, to allow you to enjoy your evening to the fullest without cursing your costume selection. Comfort is a critical aspect of choosing a successful costume, and most of the time your perception of how a garment will wear should be sufficient to give you an idea as to whether or not it would be right for you. As a general rule of thumb, avoid bulky or heavy costumes for indoor parties yes folks, that means the giant dice you had planned, or that gorilla suit is a no-no if you're likely to be dancing indoors. If you're planning to go trick or treating, those skimpy witches outfits aren't ideal for keeping you warm on the cold October nights. A bit of common sense should see you making a choice that's suitable for your particular event. As a word of caution, a costume hire shop will often require a substantial deposit to be put down against damage to their goods.Something which struck me throughout all the appointments is that Alopecia is tough for everyone; the person involved and their family. However more important that that, it has the potential to bring out the best in people and I'm proud to have met these three ladies! I can't call them consultations really, it was more like meeting new friends and getting the opportunity to chat about something I'm passionate about!
